Core Beliefs
Bible
We believe that the Bible is the inspired and inerrant Word of God. It is the source of our faith and practice.
God
We believe in one sovereign Triune God, manifested in three: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
Jesus
We believe that Jesus is almighty, eternal God. He was born of a virgin, lived a perfect, sinless life, and died on the cross as payment for the sins of mankind. He rose again, conquering sin, death, and the grave, and is now ascended into Heaven.
Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit is a person in the Godhead who convicts people of their sin, who indwells and secures the salvation of believers, and who works to sanctify and empower and gift believers for God’s service.
Sin
We believe that sin is anything that violates God’s holiness. Adam and Eve sinned, and their sin nature was passed down to all people, who now sin by nature and by choice. The penalty that all mankind deserves for sin is death.
Salvation
We believe that Jesus died on the cross as payment for the sins of humanity, and offers salvation to all who will believe on him as their Savior. We are not forgiven of our sins through our works, our efforts, our religious rituals, or anything else, but by the blood of Jesus.
Eternal Security
We believe that once we are saved, we can never be lost. Because salvation is not dependent on man, but rather entirely on God, salvation is guaranteed by the promises of God and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.
Gospel Centrality
We believe that the Gospel is the central message of all of Scripture. The Bible is one redemptive narrative, and the Gospel is central to not only how we are saved, but also to how our lives are transformed more into the image of Christ after salvation.
